Heat Exchangers

Heat Exchangers are static machine to condensate vapors and steam by using a cooling fluid flow.

The vapors and the cooling fluids can be in the same vessel (as in the direct contact condenser), or separate by a solid wall: a specific case is the shell and tubes type Heat Exchanger. In AB Progetti exchangers usually the cooling media flows into the tubes and the shell contains the steam and vapors to be condensate. The Heat Exchangers can be employed in many engineering processes, such as preheaters, gland condensers, vacuum System condenser. Exactly as the ejectors, they have no moving parts, hence maintenance is low, and operation is fairly constant when corrosion is not a factor, they have quiet, stable and simple operation.

AB Progetti can produce both direct contact condenser, than shell and tubes heat exchangers (with fixed or floating tubeplates); we can rolling expand the tubes or weld it to the tube plates. AB Progetti can manage all the most commonly used materials: stainless steel, special alloys like Incoloy or Hastelloy, copper alloys, titanium.
